Former Golden Arrows Centre Forward, Alton Meiring says he likes the way Gabadinho Mhango plays the game.
Mhango received 5 724 votes from the AmaZulu faithful, which put him in the starting XI for the Carling Black Label Cup against Mamelodi Sundowns. Meiring takes us through what makes the Malawian forward so special, and why he will be a key figure in the mid-season competition.
“I think Veli Mothwa will be key, I think he’s quality and then Gabadinho Mhango, I really like the way he plays,” Alton Meiring told ThisIsFootball.Africa.
“A bit of a big talker, he’s got that attitude, but all big players come with that attitude. On the day he is the one that can change things for them, he is not an out and out striker like Majoro. He rises to the occasion, the type that will score a brilliant goal and then has a fight with his coach. People like that, you must give them what is due, that attitude. He can hurt the opposition on the day.”
In his final season at his former club Orlando Pirates, Gabadinho Mhango only made five appearances in the league, scoring in none, but has already put away four goals in nine appearances so far at his new club AmaZulu.
