Former Orlando Pirates left-winger Bennett Chenene says that Kermit Erasmus and Monnapule Saleng will win the MTN8 final for the Buccaneers on Saturday.
Jose Riveiro’s side sealed a stunning win over Mamelodi Sundowns to book the competition’s final spot, beating them 3-0 in the second leg at Peter Mokaba Stadium in October.
Erasmus and Saleng pulled off an impressive performance in both MTN8 semifinal matches, but most importantly in the second leg, as they were on the scoresheet.
Speaking exclusively with This Is Football.Africa, Chenene was confident that the duo will do the business, and believes that they have what it takes to come back with the trophy from Durban on Saturday.
“Kermit (Erasmus) and Monnapule (Saleng) will take this one, especially Erasmus, he has the experience for the final,” Chenene said.
“It will be good for Saleng to collect this via his performance, he deserves the trophy. Both players have what it takes to win us the final”.
” The Pirates coach will win obviously, they got a wake-up call from Kaizer Chiefs”.
“Otherwise, if they had won against Chiefs, they were going to relax. So now they can’t allow AmaZulu to beat them.”
The highly anticipated MTN8 final will take stage at Moses Mabidha Stadium on Saturday at 18h00, with all tickets already sold out.
