Former Orlando Pirates left-winger Bennett Chenene has heaped praise on the arguably Pirates star player right now, Monnapule Saleng, especially after his performance in the MTN8 final encounter against AmaZulu.
Saleng had once again shown the country what he is capable of with an astonishing free kick in the Buccaneers’ hard-fought 1-0 win over Usuthu at Moses Mabidha Stadium on Saturday.
With his winning goal against the Durban heavyweights, Saleng has now scored five goals and bagged at an assist in all competitions so far.
Chenene, who played the same position that Saleng is now occupying at the club, was a happy man after the match and has applauded the 24-year-old dribbling wizard.
“I’m happy for Monnapule Saleng, his performance helped the team to win, I’m happy he achieved and scored the winning goal,” Chenene told ThisIsFootball.Africa.
“This is the best moment for him, I wish him a very good luck for future, he is the future. “The game was balanced, the game was good, but as I told you, I felt Pirates were the best team on the day, they deserved it, I’m so happy for the team and the new coach.”
