Kaizer Chiefs head coach Arthur Zwane has warned his side against being solely reliant on Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana for goals.
Bimenyimana had seemingly found his scoring boots for Chiefs, before sustaining an injury that will see him sidelined for Sunday’s MTN8 second leg semi-final encounter against AmaZulu at Moses Mabhida Stadium.
Despite being the top goal scorer for the club with six goals in six matches, Zwane has called on his charges to share the scoring responsibility.
“I’m happy with seeing Ashley Du Preez getting on the score sheet, that will boost his confidence,” Zwane told the media.
“I also want Khama Billiat to score before Caleb comes back and I know he will score and as soon as goals start coming in left, right and centre, we’ll be unpredictable as a team because we won’t be relying on one player to score goals for us.
“We are a big team to be relying on one player, Du Preez has scored already and I’m expecting many other players to score this coming weekend.
“If goals will be coming left, right and centre everyone will know his role and responsibility of making sure the team wins.
“Unlike giving just two individuals the responsibility of scoring goals and I’m happy with the progress so far. One day good will answer us,” Said Zwane.
Amakhosi are the third highest scoring team in the DStv Premiership with 15 goals scored so far, however the Soweto giants have been leaky at the back, and are one of the teams with the worst defensive records in the league, they conceded 15 goals after 12 games played.
