Galaxy’s Loss might be SuperSport’s Gain

Sibusiso Vilakazi in search of greener pastures as PSL clubs fight for his signature

News reaching us is that TS Galaxy’s loss might be SuperSport United’s gain in acquiring the services of a former Mameodi Sundowns star and CAF Super Cup winner.

After an unsuccessful stint at the Rockets and seen as an attacking midfielder that was surplus to requirements under coach Sead Ramovic. Sibusisi Vilakazi is rumoured to be linked to Matsatsantsa under coach, Gavin Hunt, who helped make him PSL player of the year at the now defunct Bidvest Wits. However United will have to move quickly as the likes of AmaZulu, Cape Town City and Maritzburg United may enter into the race for his signature.

Hunt is said to be keen on reuniting with his former player. Hoping to get the best out of him and return him to his previous form. Having allowed Iqraam Rayners and his five assists this season to leave for Stellenbosch, a new player needs to be brought in that can bring that added creativity as well as goals of which Vilakazi is more than capable of doing.

Vila, as he is known, made 10 appearances this season for TS Galaxy managing no assists and no goals. Earlier reports said that there might have been a fall out between the Coach and the player, but Rockets owner Tim Zukazi has squashed these rumours on Marawa Sports Worldwide via VumaFM, SowetoLive, Rise FM and 947 radio. Saying that both parties parted mutually, and that everything has been settled with regards to finances too. “He said to me he will sit and reflect and he would have applied his mind next week. He only had four months remaining, but I paid him. If Vila says he’s decided not to play, my door will be open for any other work he wants to do,” Tim Sukazi TS Galaxy Boss explains in a recent interview.
