Gallants Star Signs Amazulu Pre Contract

News reaching our desk is that Celimpilo Ngema has agreed on a pre-contract with Amazulu after turning down Marumo Gallants offer of a new and improved two-year deal. 

The attacking midfielder has been free to discuss terms with interested clubs since the turn of the year with his current deal set to expire at the end of the 2022/223 campaign.

Ngema joined Marumo Gallants at the beginning of the 2020/21 season from Motsepe Foundation Championship side Uthongathi. 

Bahlabane ba Ntwa did try to tie down the Kwazulu Natal born midfielder to a new contract but negotiations did not reach a satisfactory conclusion for both parties. 

Amazulu have been linked with Ngema since the end of last season, according to a reliable source the player has finally put pen to paper bringing to an end to his three year stay at Marumo he will join Amazulu in July 2023.

He will be reunited with his former head coach Romain Folz who coached the player in his brief stint at Marumo Gallants at the beginning of the current campaign before he later joined Amazulu in October to replace Brandon Truter. 

At the beginning of the current season Marumo Gallants lost their influential player Ndabayithethwa Ndlondlo to Orlando Pirates. In December last year they lost their top striker Sege Junior Dion to Amazulu while Ngema is understood to have signed pre-contract with Usuthu. 

Ngema has been one of Gallants more consistent perfomers since he joined the club when it was previously known as Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila. 

The 25-year old player has made 20 league appearances, scored three goals for Marumo this season and previously won the Nedbank Cup with the club in 2020. 

Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs, Royal AM and Sekhukhune United were the other PSL clubs that the highly rated player has been linked with in recent times. 

Gallants returns to action on Sunday when they visit USM Alger of Algeria in the CAF Confederation Cup.
