Manchester City superstar Erling Haaland’s insane actual salary has been revealed. The Norwegian International signed for City in the summer on an initial reported wage of £375 000 per week. However, after all the goal bonuses included in the deal, the actual figure is astronomically higher.
Haaland started this season in truly frightening fashion off the back of his £51million move from Borussia Dortmund, scoring 19 goals in his first 12 matches for the Sky Blues.
Haaland is on course to beat Mo Salah’s record of 32 goals in a single Premier League campaign having already racked up an astonishing 14 goals in 8 league appearances so far.
Given his fine form and the almost guarantee that he’ll score every week, Haaland’s salary inclusive of the bonuses places him as far-and-away the highest paid player in England, taking home a ridiculous £900 000 a week, according to Sportsmail.
There’s already been rumours of Haaland’s exit, with it being reported that the former Dortmund man contains a release clause in his contract, worth a reported £174million.
However, Pep Guardiola has dismissed the claims, shutting down the rumours Real Madrid are close to activating the clause.
“It’s not true,” said the City coach after their win over Copenhagen on Wednesday. “He has not got a release clause for Real Madrid, or any other team.
“Am I annoyed by the rumours? No, absolutely not. Rumours, and people talking, you cannot control it – so always we have to worry about what we can control.
“The important thing is that he has adapted [since joining City] really well. I have the feeling he is incredibly happy here, and this is the most important thing.”
Haaland will be looking to add to his league tally this weekend ahead of a fixture against Southampton at the Etihad. City currently sit second in the Premier League, but may find themselves top come the end of the weekend after first-placed Arsenal host Liverpool.
