‘He will be useful’ – Katsande makes Billiat claim ahead of Soweto Derby

Kaizer Chiefs legend, Willard Katsande believes his former club will profit from the presence of Khama Billiat in the upcoming Soweto Derby.

Amakhosi and their long-time arch-rivals Orlando Pirates, will lock horns in a much anticipated DStv Premiership clash on Saturday at FNB Stadium.

With Chiefs’ leading goalscorer Caleb Bimenyimana likely to miss the derby, Amakhosi could possibly rely on the likes of Ashley Du Preez, Keagan Dolly as well as Billiat for goals.

And now, Katsande, a former Billiat’s teammate both at Chiefs and the Zimbabwe national team, has insisted that Chiefs’ likely counter-attacking style in Saturday’s fixture, will thrive more with the Zimbabwean international whom he’s described as an “Elite Player”.

“What I can tell you, is Billiat is the best player ever to play this game, his appearance says it all, he is an elite player,” Katsande told This Is Football Africa.

“He was never off form, he is just an elite player, he operates on a higher level, he is a weapon, he will be useful, and he will cause damage on Saturday.”

The now retired footballer, and Bosso Ya Mboka clothing brand boss, is also confident that Chiefs will produce positive results on the weekend.

“They stand a massive chance if they apply themselves proper, and know the importance of the fixture,” he added.

“Trust me, they will get the results, they will win 2-1.”

The match is scheduled for 15h30 on Saturday at the Soccer City Stadium, with tickets already sold out.
