Sicelokuhle Hlatshwayo is now a free agent, after his contract with Marumo Gallants has been mutually terminated, This Is Football Africa can reveal.

Hlatshwayo, 28, signed with Gallants in July 2021. He made just seven appearances for the club, recording only 556 minutes in the DStv Premiership this season.

In the seven games he had played, the former Polokwane City defender collected two “Man Of The Match” awards.

However, according to This Is Football Africa‘s reliable informant, Hlatshwayo felt he was out-of-favor, and a surplus to requirements at Bahlabane Ba Ntwa, hence his departure.

“He is no longer there, he has agreed to terminate his contract with the team,” confirms a This Is Football Africa source.

“His contract is coming to an end by June, he has been taken out of the team while he was the key in that defence, so he looked at it as a setback, that’s why he decided to head out and look elsewhere.

“Plus, he looked at his age and thinks he needs to play, not to sit outside, so he can be able to get another better contract.”
