Orlando Pirates should expect not to be feared by Venda Football Academy when the two teams meet in the Nedbank Cup clash on Saturday at the Orlando Stadium, according to VFA coach Joel Masutha.
Masutha says his team will give nothing away in their bid to progress to the quarterfinals of the Nedbank Cup. VFA beat ABC Motsepe’s FC Black Cross in the last 32, while Pirates eliminated All Stars.
The former Black Leopards coach said his side is highly motivated and can do the trick to condemn Pirates to a humiliating exit.
“We know we are playing a big team that is also a good team, but we have no fear because it’s 11 v 11,” Masutha told Thisisfootball.Africa.
“We have been working hard at training, and we are confident ahead of this much expected match. We can’t say they will beat us; we go out there (Orlando Stadium) to face them as it will be 11 v 11. There is no fear, to be honest.
“And obviously, we are going there knowing what to expect from Pirates because they have also been doing well lately. It will be nice to play for a team of their caliber.”

However, there has been a key word throughout the week at VFA, with the former Pretoria Callies coach regularly letting his troops know that a game against Pirates is a lifetime opportunity.
“But this is a game where our players must enjoy themselves because it’s a lifetime opportunity to play against Pirates, you understand what I mean,” Masutha added.
“Playing against one of the biggest teams in South Africa, is a motivation itself. It is a life opportunity, to be honest.
“Our players must go out there and enjoy this moment while aiming to win the game. Obviously, it’s nice to play against a big team in front of so many fans.”
The two teams lock horns for the first time in history, with the match set for 20h00 at Orlando Stadium on Saturday.
