Kaizer Chiefs star, Khama Billiat has said that Amakhosi would have won many more games this season, but that they been unlucky since the season started.
Chiefs have begun the second round of the season in terrible form, losing three games consecutively and without scoring any goals.
Chiefs sit sixth on the DStv Premiership standings, a massive 25 points behind the log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns. After17 games played. Chiefs record reads, won seven, drawn three and lost seven.
Billiat believes that his side has been doing well this season, but that luck was not in their side. “ I think we’re doing most of the things correctly. I think it’s just a lack of luck,” Billiat told SABC’s MLFM Radio.
“We just need the ball to cross over the line. Otherwise, if you look at the performances that we’ve been producing in the last couple of games, you can tell that we are a team that wants to achieve something.
“Those performances deserve to get something thing positive. But we stay strong, we keep pushing and when luck is on our side on the day, it will stay with us for a long time.”
Ahead of their game against their hoodoo team, Royal AM, the Zimbabwean international promises Chiefs’ supporters that the team will do better to make them happy again.
“Those (supporters) are our beautiful people and the ones who give us extra miles. We love them, and we appreciate their support,” Billiat added.
“We know and believe that they want positive results and deserve something better, and we will work on it. We are just out of luck now. They have been great to us and are a pillar of strength for us.
“We are going to make them happy very soon, it’s merely a matter of time for them to be happy. We urge them to come support us against Royal AM, as they usually do.”
