Klate joins SuperSport, along with a Pirates striker

Daine Klate looks set to return home to SuperSport United as a second assistant

SuperSport United are on the verge of announcing the return of the prodigal son, Daine Klate. He will be added as a possible second assistant to head coach Gavin Hunt’s growing technical team. His last coaching position was at the tumultuous Chippa United, but now Klate is back to where it all started.

They are also still on the lookout for a forward to add to their ranks, and are eyeing two Mamelodi Sundowns strikers in Thabiso Kutumela and Gift Motupa, who have had little game but could be an asset in the long run, should they get adequate game time and regain match fitness.

Having failed to secure the services of Terrence Dzvukamanjawho was potentially a done deal to Matsatsantsa until he reestablished himself in the Orlando Pirates like up by coming up with a goal and an assist within the last three games.

This has left Orlando Pirates Zakhele Lepasa at a crossroads, which has led to him to agree to a loan move to SuperSport United. This was despite initially impressing Pirates coach Jose Riveiro, which saw him receive a national call up.

The club has since confirmed the move of Zakhele Lepasa to Matsatsantsa on loan.
