Leopards Search for New Coach

Black Leopards have started searching for a new coach after parting ways with coach Johnny Ferreira.

Black Leopards started searching for a new coach after parting ways with coach Johnny Ferreira following their indifferent form, which saw them at the basement on the Motsepe Foundation log table and are seriously facing the fate of dropping down to the ABC Motsepe League.

Lidoda Duvha have played 15 games in total so far in the league, winning only two and conceding 19. The Limpopo based club has won one game in the last nine, which came against the tumultuous TTM on October the 12th.

Elsewhere coach Dan Malesela’s future at Marumo Gallants continues to be uncertain. Following yet another loss last night against Lamontville Golden Arrows by a 3-1 score line. Malesela may step down to open up the door for caretaker coach Sly Mosala, who is currently with the DStv Diski Challenge team as a mentor.

The situation at the club is dire, giving the trajectory record that the team has taken. The last time they won a game was against Cape Town City at home in October last year. Since then, they have only picked up two points out of a possible 21 points on offer.

What we know is that the writing is on the wall, with a rift already developing when coach Sly Mosala turned down the assistant coach job when he was roped in. The hierarchy at Gallants has got a couple of decisions to make with the transfer window ending shortly, and the number of games becoming less, leaving a new coach with little to no time to improve the team by bringing in fresh players.
