Mabhudi Khenyeza Excited with Makhubela Comeback

Golden Arrows co-coach Mabhudi Khenyeza is excited with the return of Ntsako Makhubela to his team on a loan deal.

A week ago, Lamontville Golden Arrows released a statement on their social media platforms saying: “We welcome back Ntsako Neverdie Makhubela on loan from Orlando Pirates.” However, it’s still unknown how long the loan deal with Arrows will be as the club did not announce any further details.

The 28-year-old made 57 appearances during his first stint at Golden Arrows and scored four goals. Makhubela has already hit the ground running  in his second spell at Arrows after starting the match against SuperSport United last week on  Saturday.

The attacking midfielder had been struggling with game time at Orlando Pirates ever since he joined them in August 2021 after an impressive stint at Golden Arrows. Makhubela made 16 appearances in all competitions without assisting or scoring for Pirates before the arrival of Jose Riveiro.

Mabhudi Khenyeza, himself a former Golden Arrows player said: “I think for Makhubela to return to us is a proper addition. It’ll help us not only  on the field but also because of  his positive influence off the pitch. I rate him as a senior player amongst the players that are here.

“Because it’s not all about playing only, but the influence around the group and to be positive all the time and to try to apply himself based on the demands of the game and based on whatever that we’re looking for as a technical team. Sometimes we pass message through senior players to the group,” he added.

With the impressive performance Arrows have shown against SuperSport United it remains to be seen whether Makhubela will start against Pirates or not.
