Makaab: I Think It’s Decision Time For them

Andile Jali agent Mike Makaab is demanding that Mamelodi Sundowns should make a decision on the future of the Jali whose contract with Bafana Ba Style in June 2023.

The 32-year-old is in a position of signing a pre-contract with a club of his choice currently. The reigning midfielder of the season has made twelve appearances for the Brazilians this season in all competitions.

However, Makaab says the are teams that have enquired about the service of the experienced midfielder and Masandawana should make a decision on whether they want to keep him or not.

“I think it’s decision time for them. And if they don’t want Andile then they need to let us know and then we have to respect that and we have to move on,” Makaab said on Gagasi FM.

“As I’ve said to you, there are [a] number of teams that have enquired about him [and] not only locally but outside our borders,” he added.

“His first choice would be to stay at Sundowns but if he’s not part of the coach’s plan, he’s a quality player and he’s got five months left on his contract.

“Of course, it’s a concern [that he doesn’t play much]. Again, I have to respect Mamelodi Sundowns, they’ve always been professional in the way they’ve dealt with us but I think in this particular case we’ve got to bring this thing to a head, there is no doubt about it.”

The Matatiele-born has won all the domestic trophies with Masandawana since he joined the club in 2018 and played 136 matches for Tshwane giants.
