Mane included in Senegal World Cup Squad

Sadio Mane Included but still in a race against time on his fitness level

Sadio Mane has been included in the Senegal World Cup squad, despite being injured. But the former Liverpool star is likely to miss the first game against the Netherlands.

The Bayern winger limped off in the 20th minute of the Bavarians 6-1 win over Werder Bremen, alerting fears that his World Cup dreams might be over.

Following the game, Bayern confirmed he had suffered an injury to his right fibula, and panic was caused back home as a result of this injury, to such an extent, that his country were willing to use witch doctors to help heal their star forward.

Despite his inclusion, Senegal head coach Aliou Cisse, has reportedly ruled Mane out of their opening game, but comforted fans that he would not need surgery.

Senegal will kick off their World Cup campaign with a sumptuous clash against the Netherlands on November 21, followed by games against the host nation Qatar and Ecuador.
