Sibusiso Vilakazi confirmed his exit from TS Galaxy and sounded disappointed. ThisIsFootball.Africa spoke to him at home, the 33-year-old did hint that he was not coach Sead Ramovics’ favourite and at times they did not understand each other. But he does not believe that it was the only reason he was let go.

Another source attributed a potential financial burden on the club being the reason they wanted him to leave.

“They wanted to cut down their costs, seeing that he was not a regular and was rarely used by the coach,” said a close source.

With new signings coming on board, all being attack minded, it was a signal that Vilakazi’s life at the club would be cut short. Galaxy went on to sign a Ivorian, Yao Kouassi Bernard and Venezuela born attacker, Medina Rodriguez in January and they have committed three years to the Rockets.

The player still wants to play and he is injury free, Mike Makaab told ThisIsFootball.Africa.

“We are weighing up options for him but we are not in a hurry and will wait for the right time. The player signed a short contract with Galaxy until the end of the season but had a season option. There was no fall out and these things happen, sometimes things don’t work out and we believe the player still has a lot to offer.”

On the other hand Mike Makaab said his other client Andile Jali, is still in talks with Mamelodi Sundowns but that they are not going to panic.

” We can’t force or push Sundowns but have to wait for them to conclude the deal “, Makaab told us when addressing the contract situation of Andile Jali.
