ThisIsFootball.Africa spoke to Muhsin Ertugral his opinion on the progress of his former club Kaizer Chiefs at this, basically the halfway mark of the season. The Turkish mentor played it very clear as to what Chiefs need to do to improve this season.

“I will try not to mix my words,” Former Chiefs Coach Muhsin Ertugral told ThisIsFootball.Africa .

“The huge history of the Club and the support that the team has been underachieving for years now. Nor are Chiefs playing the type of football that is unique to AmaKhosi. In addition, it’s not being the club’s way in the past to change coaches so often. This is a big change in Chiefs attitude in recent years. There is no continuity, there is no inheritance football. As a big club you are obligated to fulfil the demand of the huge following and obviously of the sponsors also. They have this season built a very interesting team together with a new technical team. Hopefully they can find the way back to the winning DNA. Just like Sundowns, they must develop a culture at Chiefs again.

“Right now, they need a striker, A box striker. Where they can also strengthen things off the field, is to have patience. The management must understand that they have new players, a new team basically. I think they only need to find a striker that plays between the last defensive line around the box, that is what is needed and then things could fall into place” added Ertugral.
