Venda Football Academy have appointed Joel Masutha as their new assistant coach, on a deal that will see him with the club until 2024.

Masutha had recently parted ways with Black Leopards for personal reasons as previously reported by ThisIsFootball.Africa.

The former Chippa United coach will work under coach Simo Dladla, who is head coach of the Limpopo side, after the departure of coach Michael Loftman.

“Venda Football Academy is pleased to announce the appointment of Joel Masutha as the club’s assistant coach,” the club’s statement reads.

“He comes with vast coaching experience, having coached in the DStv Premiership and also in the National First Division, now known as Motsepe Foundation Championship, for many years.

“The club felt it necessary to boost the technical team following a string of poor performances in the first 12 league games of the season. Coach Masutha will be the assistant to head coach Simo Dladla, and both are expected to lead the team into the club’s next phase with improved results.”
