Swallows FC have boosted their squad as they have acquired the services of Bongani Sam. Orlando Pirates and Swallows have come to an agreement on a loan deal until the end of the season. This will help Swallows who are aiming to turn things around in the Dstv Premiership league.
Swallows FC are currently occupying 15th position, 3 points ahead of Marumo Gallants who are currently occupying 16th position in the league. Swallows have lost eight games and that reflects their defensive frailties at the back conceding 21 goals. The Dube Birds have only kept a clean sheet six times in the league and new coach Ernst Middendorp will aim to rectify that.
The fans of the Dube Birds will hope that the presents of Bongani Sam at the back will bring in stability, experience and command.
The left footed defender was loaned out to Maritzburg United from Pirates and under tutelage of Fadlu Davids he played nine games and managed to score one goal. In the nine games he played he has played 50 percent of those games and the rest coming from the bench.
The 25-year-old will aim to help Swallows to maintain their 8th position in the table, as the Dube Birds trail Maritzburg United by two points in the Dstv Premiership. The former Celtic player has amazing ball control and is attack minded and his style will fit in with coach Ernst Middendorp.
