Vilakazi was recently abruptly released by The Rockets after falling out of favour with head coach Sead Ramovic, which led to his former coach Pitso Mosimane sharing blows with Ramovic over a war of words via twitter.
The 33-year-old just made 10 appearances for Galaxy this season and Truter revealed that the former TS Galaxy player is currently being monitored by the club. Sekhukhune is very interested in acquiring his signature, but it remains unclear if it will be this season or the next.
“Yes, he is definitely here, but it will probably be for next season, we will see,” Truter told KickOff.
“People write you off quickly in South Africa. Everybody deserves a second chance, and at his age, there must still be quality left in you. We invited him to train to see what he can do, and if he is still sharp, then he definitely can add value. The quality is still there, so if it’s not going to happen now, it will happen for next season. I’m impressed, it’s just that we have only 10 games to go for the season, so if we don’t sign him now, we may sign him for next season.”
Babina Noko seems relaxed in making their decision with Supersport United keen as well, and this could be an indication that there are no other offers on the table despite Kaizer Chiefs showing an interest .
