Central defender Thulani Ndlela who was last on the books of Richards Bay is now a new acquisition of Venda Football Academy. The former Natal Rich Boy joined them from Sekhukhune United, who at the time were plying their trade in the then known GladAfrica Championship.

Ndlela spent a season at Richards Bay, before finding himself without a club after five games into the current campaign without playing a single game. The two parties came to an agreement and since August 26th, 2022, he has been without a club until now.

Venda Football Academy is a club based in Venda. After previously playing in the ABC Motsepe League, they moved to the Motsepe Foundation Championship at the start of the 2021-22 season after businessman Robinson Ramaite purchased the franchise from now defunct Cape Umoya United.

The club has won two of their last three games, sitting in position number 13 on the log but are two points away from the relegation zone. Reinforcing the squad will be of utmost importance, if they are to avoid the drop.

They will be hoping to have a positive result in the Nedbank Cup against Black Cross in the Round of 32, so that they can advance to the next round, on Saturday at the Dr. Petrus Molemela Stadium.
