Royal AM on a Signing Spree

Royal AM rumored to be assessing a unnamed younger brother of Peter Nyame'

As we have previously reported, Royal AM are in the market to make new signings that will improve their results as well as keep them away from the wrong end of the table.

Last season, they finished in third position behind Cape Town City and qualified for the CAF Confederations Cup play offs.

This season currently they are outside of the top eight and three points away from the relegation zone.

They acted fast in re-hiring coach John Maduka, who was without a club after leaving Maritzburg United earlier in the season.

Thwihli Thwahla also handed the returning head coach a victory in his first game back with the Pietermaritzburg-based side, beating Lamontville Golden Arrows by a 2-1 scoreline.

Then they went for experience in acquiring the services of the former Orlando Pirates Captain Happy Jele. Now they are targeting the offensive side of things, looking to bring in an attacker.

Coach Maduka confirmed that they have started an assessment of a striker. He identified the forward as the younger brother of Royal AM goalkeeper Patrick Nyame’, who hails from Cameroon. The player’s first name was unattainable before this article was published but we spoke to an official at Royal AM.

“I am not aware of that,” said the General Manager of Royal AM when we asked him about the Cameroonian trialist in camp.
