Seedat Injury and TS Galaxy Status

Seedat was one of the TS Galaxy's top performers before his injury.

TS Galaxy full back, Ebrahim Seedat goes into how he is recovering from his injury, and how he thinks the team’s status can improve, going into the second half of the season.

The former Cape Town City left back got injured while training, but was arguably one of the best full backs in the league at the time.

“It has been two months and the recovery is going well. I had a grade two tear in my MCL which is not a major blow. I’m training everyday now and it’s improving all the time. It was a bitter pill to swallow after starting so well at the beginning of the season, but everything happens for a reason. I will be stronger when I come back. I already set the bar for this season with the three games, when I return, I’ll just raise that bar even higher. I want to aim for a national call up if possible.”

Before the injury, Seedat’s Rockets were flying high, with a win against Mamelodi Sundowns adding to their belief and confidence. At the time they were unbeaten, but now they find themselves in 12th position with only two wins in 12 games so far.

“I think it’s about how much we want it as a team. I always tell the guys if we can take it game by game like we did the first three games, which was a good run for us, then we will be ok. We will get results if we give everything on the pitch for 90 minutes. We must understand that when we play away, we already have a point in the bag. Then, if we can also score and then close shop at the back, we can come away with three points. The season is long, and we still have 18 games to go. If we can push for those 18 games, we can be in the top eight, that is the goal, and while we’re there we can just push ourselves to go higher and higher.”
