Even though there was little inactivity this past weekend, South Africa’s foreign contingency was in fine form for their respective clubs.
Here is a look at how their results panned out:

Percy Tau – Egyptian Premier League
The forgotten Bafana striker featured for 75 minutes and got on the scoresheet for Al Ahly who comfortably beat Ghazl El Mehalla 2-0.
Tau has been struggling for form since being injured and will now be hoping to get more regular under minutes as they look to wrestle the league title away from rivals Zamalek.
The Red Devils are the only unbeaten side in the league having won all five of their opening league fixtures and top the league standings with 15 points, one point ahead of Zamalek who have played a game more.

Fagrie Lakay – Egyptian Premier League
The in-form Lakay played the entire match for Pyramids FC in their 2-0 win over Al Mokawloon to move into the fifth spot.
Lakay has now recorded a single goal with two assists in five league outings for the White Knights and is hoping to pick up from where he left off last season.

Kobamelo Kodisang – Liga Portugal 2
Kodisang, who has by far been South Africa’s most outstanding player overseas this season, has finally reaped rewards for all the hard work he has put in thus far.
The 23-year-old has been crowned as the Best Player in Portugal’s Liga 2 for the period August-September following an incredible shift since being loaned to Moreirense FC from Braga B at the beginning of the season.
He has stats that speaks volume having recorded eight goals and three assists in 13 appearances across all competitions.

COSAFA U17 South African Teams
The South African ladies’ team was crowned champions after coming from 2-1 behind to see off a brave Zambian side in a thrilling 4-3 victory.
Amajimbos on the other hand fell short of the title after losing 1-0 to Zambia in the final. Nevertheless, Duncan Crowie’s young side has qualified for the U17 Africa Cup of Nations tournament which will be staged in Algeria in 2023.

Josh Brooking – English Premier League
The promising 20-year-old right back, who is among the young Bafana Bafana prospects playing overseas, was named in the Blues’ starting XI by manager Graham Potter and played 73 minutes in their club friendly against Aston Villa on Sunday.
Brooking put in an impressive performance but ended up on the losing side as the Villans ran out narrow 1-0 victors.
