Mamelodi Sundowns will face Kaizer Chiefs or Orlando Pirates in the one-day Carling Black Label Cup, after an easy 3-0 win over AmaZulu at FNB Stadium.

Sundowns started the game when Bongani Zungu nearly opened the scoring a minute into the game, but his shot went over the bar.

Cassius Mailula scored his first goal in the Carling Black Label Cup within five minutes of the match, when his shot was deflected in the box to beat Veli Mothwa.

The first 25 minutes were even, but as the half went on, Downs started to overwhelm Amazulu with their pressure.

Sundowns came very close again, with a Mailula strike forcing a strong save from Usuthu’s Mothwa in the 31st minute.

At halftime, an excellent attacking performance gave Masandawana a deserved one-goal lead, but they still had more work to do to find more goals.

AmaZulu made quick substitutions five minutes into the second half, as they brought in Rally Bwalya, Dumisani Zuma and Mbongeni Gumede.

Usuthu came close when Ethan Brooks put Gabadonho Mhango through, but his effort was saved by Ronwen Williams.

Downs kept pushing forward, and they finally got the second goal, their performance deserved, as off the bench Haashim Domingo put one into the back of the net.

Four minutes later, Gaston Sirino won the ball near the corner flag, and found Surprise Ralani inside the box with a great pass, and sealed the deal with a lavish chip over the keeper and into the back of the net.

AmaZulu pushed hard until the very end, but their dream to play the Carling Black Label final was over, thanks to a brilliant performance by the Brazilians at FNB Stadium.
