Mamelodi Sundowns could potentially have a wholesale of loans pending an approval on who should stay and who should leave to gain fitness and some much-needed game time.
The players in question are former Black Leopards midfielder Lesedi Kapinga, former Bidvest Wits attacking midfielder Gift Motupa, former Maritzburg United highest goal scorer Thabo Kutumela, and the young and promising Promise Mkhuma. We’ve already seen another fringe player, Jody February, make his move on loan at AmaZulu.
Lesedi Kapinga, has requested to leave Masandawana before the window closes, so now the club is waiting for offers. He has only made five appearances and has a contract until June the 30th 2025.

Gift Motupa has only made two appearances this season at Mamelodi Sundowns, whose contract only expires in June 2025. Therefore, a fee will then need to be agreed for his release, or a loan deal may be a better option given the length of his current contract.
Thabo Kutumela, has three years on his current contract at KaboYellow, a proven goal scorer who bagged 12 goals with Maritzburg United in the season of 20220/2021.
We expect one or two to make loan moves, depending on the demand and as well as the cover that Sundowns require to go deep into all competitions, particularly the major one, the CAF Champions League.
