Themba Zwane The Complete One

Former Mamelodi Sundowns forward, Alton Meiring believes that Themba Zwane is a complete player and that no one in the PSL compares to him.

He adds that the midfield battle is where the game will be won or lost, as Zwane holds the key in the outcome of the tie against AmaZulu in the Carling Black Label Cup.

“I think Themba Zwane will be a key figure as always for us. He makes things tick, he gets into the box, and he is the game changer, Meiring told ThisIsFootball.Africa.

“You can talk about all the other players, but I think Themba Zwane is the complete one. Yes, if he plays well, they usually win. I call him the game changer. Andile Jali will be another one who could sway it. A guy like him to hold will be crucial and he sits, collects, and things will happen from there, the midfield battle will be interesting.”

Themba Zwane’s season so far has been slow, with only one goal in 11 games in the league. Last season he got five goals in 25 games, but also came up with seven assists, backing up Meiring’s complete player statement.

Mshishi as he is called, is indeed a fan favourite, racking up 13 592 votes and coming in at third place behind Cassius Mailula with 23 895, and goalkeeper Ronwen Williams at the top of the Mamelodi Sundowns standings with 27 017.
