Of all the current big six managers, Thomas Tuchel is most likely to be the first one sacked. In fact, it can be argued that if Roman Abramovich was still Chelsea owner, the former PSG boss would have already been out of job.
Prior to this past weekend’s set of fixtures, Tuchel’s record in the 15 previous league games was identical to Frank Lampard’s in his final 15 games before he was sacked: 22 points from a possible 45. Furthermore, at the end of the 2021/2022 season, Squawka revealed that Tuchel’s win rate at Stamford Bridge was a mere 48.1%. This represents a huge drop in the difficulty of playing at Chelsea as an away team, with Stamford Bridge not being the fortress we’ve became accustomed to.

Speaking to talkSPORT, Gabriel Agbonlahor seems to share the same sentiments, saying “Thomas Tuchel has got to be under pressure.
“Chelsea are used to winning Premier League titles, now they are going to be looking at a fight for top four.
“Arsenal are looking very good, Spurs are looking very good. Chelsea could finish fifth this season.
“That is unacceptable with the amount of money they have spent.
“The previous owner of Chelsea would have sacked him by now for last season’s Premier League finish.
Many Chelsea fans struggle to criticize their manager given that Tuchel gave them the second biggest night in the Club’s history after their UCL triumph last year. However, to rival fans it seems as if Tuchel was given too much credit for the European success as it is evident that Chelsea are not any closer to the pinnacle of world football: where they strive to be.
Despite shaky performances from the Chelsea defence at the start of this season and towards the end of last, Tuchel has undoubtedly solidified the Blues’ backline and made them harder to beat.
Conversely, Tuchel has not been able to improve any Chelsea attackers thus far into his reign. His signing of Romelu Lukaku last season backfired spectacularly, and he hasn’t managed to get a tune out of any attacking options that were already at the Club.
The signing of former Arsenal captain Pierre- Emerick Aubameyang has been labelled as “good business” by Chelsea fans and pundits. However, given the lack of improvement amongst all the attackers at the Club, and the exceptional failure that was Lukaku (who is arguably more PL proven), it seems optimistic to believe Tuchel will get the best out of Auba, thus improving the attack.
Thomas Tuchel, Chelsea Manager homas Tuchel is on borrowed time. If the situation at Chelsea does not improve quickly and significantly, we reckon the new Chelsea owner Todd Boehly will take a leaf out of his predecessor’s book and relieve the German of his duties, meaning Tuchel will be the first big six manager sacked.
