Tlou Segolela – Pirates Are Capable Of Beating Sundowns

Orlando Pirates legend Tlou Segolela believes that Pirates will be tough opposition for Sundowns when the two teams meet on Saturday in Soweto in their DStv Premiership clash.

This will be the 5th game within five months between the two teams. In the previous four games, Masandawana came out victorious twice, with Pirates having won once in the MTN8 at the Peter Mokaba Stadium, while they shared the spoils after a goalless draw in the league match in October.

Gautrain, as Segolela was affectionately known during his distinguished football career, believes that despite the Brazilians having a good run this season, Pirates can take the three points off Sundowns in Orlando.

“Pirates are capable, they have the ability to beat Sundowns on Saturday, looking at how they have been performing lately,” Segolela told Thisisfootball.Africa.

“They have been playing well, collecting maximum points in the past few games, so that gives them the courage to go there and make us all happy.

“Yes, Sundowns are in good form, their system, and style of play has led them to beat every team in the league. But you know when they play against Pirates it is a bit difficult for them.

“Pirates can go pound to pound with Sundowns, it’s always an interesting game, and it’s at the Orlando Stadium. Our players know what they have to do there, and I believe they are capable of winning this match.”

The much-anticipated clash between the two ball playing teams, will take place tomorrow (Saturday) at the Orlando Stadium at 15h30.
