TS Galaxy defender Pogiso Sanoka sees a slight difference between South African football and European football as based from the TS Galaxy tour of Europe.
The Rockets are currently in Turkey for the preparations of the DStv Premiership resumption after the FIFA World Cup.
The Mpumalanga outfit has played two friendlies, drawing 0-0 with Giresunspor and losing 5-0 to Italian giants Sampdoria.
Sanoka says European football isn’t as special as many make it out to be.
“Everyone dreams to play abroad, experience new things and learn football better in a different environment,” Sanoka told TS Galaxy media.
“After our first friendly, anything is possible.
“I think at some point it’s all about luck, it’s all about who do you know but compared with football we’re playing in SA, I think overseas there’s not much difference.
“It’s all in your mindset, it’s all about how do you want it, how hungry you are and how far do you really want to go for it.
“After our game, you could have easily said, ‘I can do better than certain players’ and that really encourages you, it inspires you to go the extra mile and work hard.”
In their third friendly, Galaxy will face Dynamo on Thursday before they return to South Africa.
They will then square off with Maritzburg United on 30 December in their first league game after the break.
