Zwane Wary of Maritzburg United Form

Under pressure Kaizer Chiefs coach Arthur Zwane is aware of the current form of Maritzburg United ahead of their Nedbank Cup Last-32 encounter at Harry Gwala Stadium tonight.

Since Fadlu Davids has been in charge of Maritzburg United in December last year, the Pietermaritzburg outfit has restructured  his entire technical team and only lost twice in six DStv Premiership matches.

Zwane will be hopeful to end Amakhosi’s seven year trophy drought with a Nedbank Cup tournament. However, the Glamour Boys coach is facing in-form Maritzburg United who will host Chiefs at a sold-out stadium. Zwane believes that the Team of Choice has changed how they play since the return of Fadlu Davids.

“We are playing a team that has been doing very well and we are looking forward to the game,” he said.

“They are a good team, they played very well in their last game and were unfortunate to concede a late goal that cost them maximum points, though AmaZulu also played well.

But this is going to be a different ball game altogether because of the different approach, and their coach is a good tactician, they have changed their style from how they started, so it is not going to be easy for us going to them with their home ground advantage,” he added.

Chiefs will be missing some key players due to injuries including Caleb Bimenyimana who was stretched off last week against TS Galaxy.
